V - SeriesVacuum conveyor
This system was designed to automate a disposable barbecue production line. Utilising the A Series tray denester to place two different sizes of foil trays into an indexing conveyor. The indexing conveyor was designed to be easy to clean and open to allow any over spill of coals with large wheel out bins under the conveyor so that the coals could be re-cycled.
SpecialDenesting Applications
The timing of the loading, index speeds and changes from two small trays to one large trays was all adjusted via an HMI. The filled trays were shaken to level the coals before a friction feeder fed a fire sheet. A 4 metre long conveyor transferred the trays so that the foil mesh could be positioned and the top flange turned down by very dexterous operators. This was a very extreme and potentially explosive environment and all conveyors were designed to be ATEX rated.

This project demonstrates how the AC Series and supporting systems can transform a complex, high-risk production environment. The line was designed to automate the handling of disposable barbecues, starting with the A Series tray denester which placed two different sizes of foil trays onto an indexing conveyor. The conveyor system was engineered for safety and hygiene, allowing easy access for cleaning and equipped with wheel-out bins to collect and recycle any coal spillage.

Equipped with belt driven bulk storage for trays, the iSeries has high capacity magazines to reduce the amount of times to load trays, and using the latest servo drive technology, together with a large touch screen HMI, the machine can be easily configured to suit specific requirements. All of our Tray denesters are available in full washdown execution, and are available with aftersales preventative maintenance packages.
